Born and raised in the UK, I completed my undergraduate and postgraduate training in Clinical Psychology in Australia. After completing my studies I stayed in Australia and worked in a variety of settings including private practice, community based organisations and schools. During this time, I worked as a clinical psychologist working with children, adolescents and adults from all walks of life using treatment modalities including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT).
In 2018 I relocated to the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean to work with the local population following the devastating impact of hurricane Irma. Following this, I moved too Dubai to work in private practice, serving the expat and Emirati community. It is while I have been here in Dubai that I have started to take a real interest in Eating Disorders and recently completed the ACFED training to hone my knowledge and expertise to work with clients in this area.
In my clinical work I aim to create a relaxed, warm and friendly environment where clients can share their psychological concerns without fear of judgment. I am enthusiastic and dedicated in delivering collaborative, evidence-based care and committed to working with clients to reduce distress and make positive lifestyle changes. I fully believe that even the most difficult issues can be addressed and overcome through the therapeutic process.
